Jeff began his flying career by following in his father Larry's footsteps. Jeff began flying at the age of 15, and over the next few years, became a Certified Flight Instructor and eventually a charter pilot at then, Gibson Aviation. Jeff was later hired by Express One Airline. After his time with Express One, Jeff went on to fly as a corporate pilot for Menards. In May of 1989, Jeff and Larry Husby purchased Gibson Aviation and renamed it Heartland Aviation. Jeff has been working to make Heartland one of the best air charter operators in existence ever since. When not working, Jeff can be found flying model airplanes, his Waco bi-plane, or his Hiller helicopter.
